Welcome, welcome everyone!

Welcome to my latest adventure, Peanut to Princess! I've opened an Etsy shop - Peanut to Princess - where I sell some cute clothing creations for little ones. I LOVE it! In the last few months I've discovered that I truly have a passion for sewing (though I've sewn much longer than that) and I wanted to share some of my "re-newfound" fun. My house has turned into one giant craft room as I've been scouring the closets for anything and everything to refashion and bringing in tons of fabric on top of that! I've become obsessed with the AWESOME tutorials I've found online - and I will definitely share my favorites. I've also created an Etsy shop with some of my own creations - including Disney princess inspired items, as I have a Disney obsessed daughter. We'll be heading back to WDW this October :) This blog comes with no promises or guarantees, only that I will keep it as up to date as possible and post some really cool stuff! Ha! I'm already planning a guest post tutorial on another site and will definitely be sharing some great things I find and of my own as I have the time. I had a very successful mommy blog for about a year and it honestly just got to be too much. It was taking too much time, that I already have too little of, away from my awesome family. I have a fantastic 2.5 year old daughter, a great husband, and I work full time as a 6th grade special education teacher. I'm creating this blog strictly as a "no-stress, no obligation" outlet to share some sewing genius (haha!), creative ideas, things going on in my Etsy shop, and also post some totally unrelated to sewing stuff that I feel like sharing. I hope that you all will enjoy and find that you'd like to follow. I'd love it if you did!

As for my sewing....
I'm mostly self taught with some true genius thrown in by my mom every now and then. I rarely use a pattern because, frankly, I find them difficult to understand. I much prefer the online tutorials and PDF "patterns" when I do use them. Or, just creating my own. I love to create new items from things I already have - refashioning. I mostly sew for my little girl. Just can't help it - girls are too fun to sew for! I have an Etsy shop at http://peanut2princess.etsy.com where I take great care in creating quality clothing items for little ones. Everything is custom made, most things without a pattern using measurements. It give me great pleasure to create something really adorable for someone else to enjoy :) Aside from sewing, I also enjoy scrapbooking (both paper and digital), taking pictures (I don't think I'd call what I do "photography"...lol), spending time with my family, and following everyone else's craft blogs!
